Each conference consists of around 12 to 20 presented papers, often with an invited speaker and sometimes a panel discussion. Papers are selected from several dozen submissions by the members of the committee and the local organizers. Accepted papers present original data sets, advances in econometric methods and new applications to problems of interest to practitioners and academics. The great majority of papers on the final program are unsolicited manuscripts. Submissions and presentations from graduate students through to senior researchers are welcomed.
